Salisbury Golf Course Fund... The Salisbury Gold Association has established the Salisbury Golf Course Fund as an effort toward community betterment and to encourage donations toward this vital part of the community. The Salisbury Golf Course was built nearly twenty years ago with substantial volunteer labor and donations from local businesses. The golf course receives no city or county funding. The tract lures hundreds of golfers and thousands of dollars into the Salisbury economy on an annual basis. In the past few years, many have "just worn out" according to Marvin (Butch) Widmer, President of the Salisbury Golf Association. But, Widmer adds, 'The future of golf is bright. By establishing this Salisbury Golf Course Fund the CCCF can accept tax exempt donations for the Salisbury Golf Course."
