Current Funds with CCCF...

A community foundation is a collection of funds established by individuals, families, corporations and nonprofit agencies to enhance the quality of life in a local area. These funds are pooled and, with professional money management, invested by a board of directors comprised of community leaders. Funds may be distributed as grants by the community foundation, on the recommendation of donors and subject to the approval of the board.

Since the Foundation began in 1998, there have been several funds started by interested  parties.  At any time, these funds may receive donations and the donors will receive a letter, which can be used for tax records.

Below is a list of current funds within the Chariton County Community Foundation.

• General Fund - used for general operating expenses of the Foundation.
  Permanent Endowment Fund - guarantees continuation of the Foundation.

• Keytesville Swim Club - a conduit fund to help with expenses for the Swim Club.

• Salisbury Golf Association Fund - a conduit fund for the Salisbury Golf Course.

• Brunswick Library Fund - a conduit fund for the Brunswick Library.

• Jeremy Reed Fund - a fund established by the Reed Family to award scholarships or to help people in the community.

• Brunswick R-II School Fund - a fund established in order to assure scholarship awards for graduating seniors.

• Northwestern R-I School Fund - a fund established that assures scholarships and other projects at Northwestern School.

• Salisbury R-IV School Fund - a fund established to help with projects not covered by the school budget.

• William Hollis Memorial Golf Fund - Established in 2009 by Betty Hollis in memory of her husband. 

• Coach "E" Fund - This fund was established in 2009 by Carol Edmundson in memory of her husband, James (Coach "E") Edmundson.
