Welcome...

...to the Chariton County Community Foundation website. YOUR foundation is actively working toward enriching the quality of life for Chariton Countians. As you maneuver the site, you will learn more about CCCF and its goals. Be a part of Chariton County's future, make a contribution to the Chariton County Community Foundation.

The Purpose of the Chariton County Community Foundation is  to receive, administer and disburse funds that address, improve and promote the quality of life in Chariton County, Missouri.  The Foundation will offer opportunities for anyone to make and direct financial gifts and contributions into their community.

Our Vision is to be a major philanthropic organization that will address, improve and promote quality of life in Chariton County, Missouri.

Our Mission is to positively affect Chariton County through leadership and philanthropy by facilitating gifts for charity and developing an engine of transformation for community development and educational purposes.

The Mind Your Own Business (MYOB) program was started in 2006 by the Foundation to encourage the youth of Chariton County to begin a project and enlarge it to become a viable business. This is also a way to encourage entrepreneurship in Chariton County and to help keep our citizens from leaving the area. Through the MYOB program, we have established "Step Up To Leadership" sessions, which last twelve (12) weeks.  For attending, participants may receive a mini-scholarship of $300.00 to go toward the specific project.

Other programs associated with MYOB are Entrepreneur Leaders of Tomorrow (ELOT), annual Entrepreneurial Forum for Chariton County 8th grade students, Entrepreneurship Camp, Youth Entrepreneurial Summit (YES), the runaway Gingerbread Man for 3rd grade students, job shadowing and the Art & Idea contest.

We hope that through these programs the citizens of Chariton County will help us attain a better quality of life...one of the missions of the Chariton County Community Foundation.

MYOB is a member of the Brunswick Chamber of Commerce and Keytesville Chamber of  Commerce. Learn more about us at www.schoolwebmissouri.edu/myob .
